Donaldson Engine Oil Filter
An internal bypass valve is the key feature in the Donaldson Engine Oil Filter, providing an alternate oil path when cold lubricant or a heavily loaded element raises restriction. Under normal conditions, the full-flow filter sends oil through cellulose media to capture wear debris before the lubricant reaches engine components. If restriction rises too far, the internal bypass valve provides another route so oil supply is not dependent on pushing through an obstructed element. Fresh media in this Donaldson P502016 filter renews the contamination barrier protecting bearings and other oil-fed surfaces.
