The Bendix R-8 air brake relay valve works as a remote controlled brake valve designed to deliver or release air to the chambers when control air is delivered to it from the foot brake valve or other source. Because of this critical function, this remanufactured product is rebuilt following stringent processes to ensure maximum performance even under harsh operating conditions.

- Helps speed up the application and release of the air brakes
- Usually mounted at the rear of the vehicle close to the chambers it serves
- Designed for either frame or reservoir mounting
- Comes with a universal mounting bracket to allow ease of interchange with other Bendix relay valves
- Consists of one to three service ports, three delivery ports, and one service port
- Incorporates a quick release and anti compounding feature that can be found above its horizontal service port
- An exhaust cover is installed when the anti-compounding feature is not in use
- A budget-friendly option but works just as good as the brand-new unit
