Product Description
Tractor Protection Valve
Features & Benefits
- Trailer pressure loss cannot drain tractor air with this valve working
- Cuts off trailer air if the trailer lines are damaged
- Internal seals hold trailer supply air during normal driving
- Shuts the trailer supply and control lines during a sharp pressure drop
Bendix Tractor Protection Valve
Tractors that pull trailers are the setting for the Bendix Tractor Protection Valve, which separates the tractor's air system from the trailer's. If trailer air pressure drops sharply, the valve closes the trailer supply and control lines so the tractor keeps its own braking air. Replacing it when it leaks at the exhaust restores that separation. Testing shutoff of the Bendix 288605N during each annual inspection confirms it will close when needed.
