The Bendix Air Brake Pressure Switch converts air pressure into an electrical signal for a warning lamp, buzzer, or brake light circuit. When pressure crosses its set point, the Bendix 5005753 opens or closes the circuit it serves. A lamp that never lights, or one that stays on with normal pressure, often traces to a failed switch rather than a gauge problem. Comparing the switch point with a master gauge after installation confirms the circuit responds at the right pressure.
