Disc-brake actuation requires a chamber built around the caliper mechanism rather than an S-cam linkage, and the Bendix Air Brake Chamber is intended for that service layout. For the intended disc-brake setup, the Bendix K153199 turns incoming service pressure into the pushrod movement the caliper mechanism needs. Service air entering the chamber is converted into pushrod force, which then moves the connected disc-brake mechanism. Since the chamber must physically line up with the existing hardware, size, mounting orientation, and pushrod geometry should be confirmed together before installation rather than relying on chamber appearance alone.
