Bendix Air Brake Compressor Gear
Every time the engine turns over, the Bendix Air Brake Compressor Gear is what transfers that rotation from the engine's gear train into the compressor's drive shaft. Worn or chipped teeth on that gear can cause a rattle at idle or, in worse cases, slip enough to reduce compressor output at higher RPM. Replacing a worn drive gear restores full mechanical engagement instead of a compressor running on a gear that's already begun to slip.
