Bendix Air Brake Compressor
The Bendix Air Brake Compressor is a single-cylinder BA-921 unit that builds the pressure every air-brake application on the truck draws from. Rated at 15.8 cubic feet per minute at 1,250 RPM, it pairs a water-cooled cylinder head with an air-cooled crankcase to manage heat through long loaded cycles. The Bendix 5018653 side-mounts to the engine and runs from the engine drive, with a 3.62-inch bore doing the pumping. A safety valve protects the cylinder head if the discharge line ever becomes blocked downstream.
