Standard Multi-Function Relay

Does a circuit that clicks but doesn't engage point to a relay with worn internal contacts rather than a wiring fault? The Standard Multi-Function Relay switches power to the circuit it's assigned to using an internal contact set, and contacts that have pitted from repeated arcing can click audibly without actually completing the circuit. The Standard RY1715 uses a terminal layout that matches the relay it replaces, so it plugs into the existing socket without splicing. Fresh relay contacts restore a clean circuit connection instead of one that clicks without engaging.
