Mounted within the suspension system, it resists the fore-and-aft forces that act on the axle during acceleration, braking, and changing road conditions. Replacing a worn rod or deteriorated bushings can tighten up suspension behavior and correct the excess movement that develops over time. As an aftermarket replacement, the Automann TMR67 is used where this torque rod configuration is required to keep the axle properly positioned within the suspension assembly.
