It works downstream in the emissions system, where diesel particulate matter is captured from exhaust gases before the flow continues through the outlet side. The DPF’s job is different from a DOC because it targets soot storage and regeneration rather than initial oxidation alone. For a truck already set up around the correct Hino aftertreatment layout, direct-fit construction keeps the housing, inlet, outlet, and sensor-area relationships aligned during installation. The Roadwarrior C0149-SA brings the filtration section back into the exhaust stream for soot-control service.
