Automann Suspension Equalizer Beam
Tandem load sharing depends on the Automann Suspension Equalizer Beam pivoting between axle positions inside the suspension. The beam works as a rocking link between spring ends, letting weight shift across paired axles as the truck moves over uneven ground. Its central pivot hole forms the rotation point, while end mounting areas receive the spring or hardware connections that carry load into the beam. It reacts to road height changes by rocking instead of leaving one axle to carry the full load. Fabricated steel or cast iron body carries force at that center hanger location. At the walking beam pivot, the Automann EQ013 places the load-sharing member back into the suspension’s moving center section.
