Brakes that will not stay in adjustment, even with a working slack adjuster, can point to excessive camshaft wear, and the Bendix Air Brake Camshaft replaces the worn shaft. Wear at the cam head or journals adds free travel before the shoes touch the drum. Fitting a new shaft during a full reline, with new bushings and rollers, removes that free travel. Matching length, hand, and spline count of the Bendix K117607N to the original confirms the fit.
