Repeated impact loading and heavy payload weight can fatigue rear spring mounting brackets over time, and the Automann Leaf Spring Hanger provides the support needed to keep suspension alignment stable under severe-duty conditions. It uses a gusseted cast-steel bracket that anchors the rear spring eye securely to the chassis frame while resisting bracket distortion caused by heavy axle loading. The precision-machined pivot bore keeps the spring pin tightly supported, helping prevent axle misalignment and unwanted suspension movement as the suspension cycles under load. Keeping the spring pin firmly supported allows the Automann M1819 to maintain smoother suspension articulation and promote more even tire wear on severe-service Peterbilt trucks.
