Installed at the base of the door, it compresses against the floor as the door is lowered. This contact creates a barrier that adapts to slight variations in surface height. Over time, wear at this point can allow gaps to form, exposing cargo to outside elements. Maintaining coverage along the bottom edge helps preserve conditions inside the trailer. For roll-up door systems using this configuration, the Whiting Door 5735 provides the lower sealing edge.
