Accuride Brake Drum
Rear drum brakes turn shoe friction into stopping force, and the Accuride Brake Drum supplies the 16.5 x 7-inch friction surface. Braking force starts at the shoes, which press outward against the inside of the drum to slow the wheel end. The Accuride 3600A suits rear axles rated 22K+ with steel hubs, so its size and hub type work together. On heavy rear axles, the drum takes the heat and friction of every stop, which is why drum condition matters at every brake service.
