Meritor Air Brake Automatic Slack Adjuster
The Meritor Air Brake Automatic Slack Adjuster sits between the chamber pushrod and the camshaft, turning straight chamber stroke into rotation at the brake. Its lever shape may look simple, but the internal adjustment function is what keeps brake travel from drifting as the linings wear. During brake inspection, long stroke, uneven apply, or poor adjustment recovery can point to the slack adjuster before the drum is blamed. This premium ASA follows a Haldex SABA-style setup, making the fit and arm behavior part of the repair decision. The Meritor M808005 restores automatic stroke control at the lever that moves the S-cam.
