Brake pedal control in pneumatic systems depends on the treadle valve, and the Williams Controls Air Brake Foot Valve serves as a direct replacement for the WM472E valve subassembly. This treadle valve modulates air pressure delivered to the brake chambers based on pedal movement, providing proportional brake response during application and release. Internal valving reacts quickly to pedal input and vents pressure cleanly when the pedal is released, helping limit residual braking that accelerates lining and drum wear. The aluminum valve body is built to withstand constant foot pressure along with dirt and moisture common in cab floor environments. Standard air ports align with existing brake lines, allowing the valve to be installed without modifying the plumbing. This Williams Controls 113224 valve replaces the valve subassembly only and does not include the pedal or mounting bracket.
