Meritor Manual Transmission Output Shaft Seal
The Meritor Manual Transmission Output Shaft Seal fits around the output shaft opening, where transmission lubricant can escape during operation if the sealing lip fails. Its seal body and lip area form the barrier between the rotating shaft and the rear housing area. Oil tracking along the driveline side, residue near the output location, or low fluid level can make this seal the correct service point. The Meritor KIT5389 gives the manual transmission output location a fresh sealing assembly before leakage reaches the yoke, shaft, or surrounding hardware.
