8601046 ZeroStart Cummins Engine Block Heater 1500W 120V
Engine Block Heaters are used to heat the engine block and engine fluids of gas and diesel vehicles as an aid to starting in cold weather. The heater is operated using standard household AC power and the heat generated is distributed throughout the engine by the convective flow of the warmed coolant. -- Agricultural, Industrial & Heavy Duty Applications: Cummins N Series (855 C.I.D., 14 Liter NT315, N14-330, N14-330E, N14-460, N14-460, etc.) Big Cam IV, New Big Cam IV, 88NT, 444. Engines without heater hose connection to rear plate or Full Flow Cooling. Due to oil cooler provisions on 855 C.I.D. series engines, special applications which accommodate full flow cooling designs are necessary. Where there is interference, the heater required will depend upon the oil cooler and exhaust configuration. There are various installation options. Engine may accept oil pan heaters 8609683, 8609659, or 8609713 (requires 1" x 1/2" reducer bushing to reduce port size). Available Service Parts: Hex Nut (8602999), Element Gasket (8603650), Plate Gasket (8603359)
