Meritor Steering King Pin Bushing
The Meritor Steering King Pin Bushing addresses the pivot area between the king pin and axle knuckle when front axle steering starts to feel loose. The bushing creates a wear surface for steering movement, allowing the knuckle to turn around a controlled bearing point instead of working against damaged metal. Its small size makes it easy to overlook, but steering response, tire wear, and front-end feel can all change once the bushing area wears out. During king pin service, the Meritor 1225D836 renews the bushing contact point inside the steering axle assembly.
