The Meritor Right Hand Air Brake Camshaft works inside the drum brake foundation system, where slack adjuster movement turns the cam and spreads the brake shoes against the drum. Right-hand placement matters because camshaft orientation must match the wheel-end side being serviced. Worn cam surfaces, spline wear, or shaft movement can affect brake apply even after shoes and hardware have been replaced. Drum brake service can use Meritor 2210E7441 to renew the right-hand camshaft that drives shoe movement.
