For steer axle linkage work, the Meritor Front Axle Cross Tube and Ends connects steering movement across the front axle through a cross tube assembly. The long tube has a firm steel feel, with end hardware already part of the assembly so the steering connection is handled as more than a bare tube. In front-end repair, this part becomes important when linkage movement needs to travel evenly from one side of the axle to the other. The cross tube sits low in the steering system, where road input, turning force, and tire direction all meet through the linkage. The Meritor A1 3102J4534 fits MFS12 front axle service using a cross tube with ends.
