If the brake foundation needs a measured mounting base, the Meritor Q Brake Air Brake Spider provides the spider structure for a Q brake layout. It uses 7.125-inch bolt circles, 12 mounting holes, and a 1.75-inch offset to position the wheel-end brake hardware. The spider carries the shoe, cam, and anchor areas so brake force can move through the drum assembly in the correct location. Its role stays structural, with air delivery and actuator movement handled by other brake components. The Meritor A 3211P4800 places the foundation hardware on the spider base.
