The Doosan A413552 uses a magnetic variable-reluctance design, reading the pulse wheel without physical contact that could wear over time. Correct crankshaft position data lets the ECM synchronize spark timing and fuel injection to the engine's actual rotational position instead of an assumed one. A sensor reading inconsistently can cause hard starting or stalling that's easy to misattribute to the fuel system on an NGVI-fueled forklift engine.
