PAI Power Steering Pump

The PAI Power Steering Pump supplies the hydraulic pressure required for assisted steering in the vehicle's steering system. Inside the steering circuit, hydraulic fluid moves from the reservoir through the pump and into the steering gear assembly. The engine's rotation drives the internal pump components, allowing fluid to circulate throughout the hydraulic steering pathway. Pressurized fluid entering the steering gear allows the steering linkage to respond more easily to steering wheel input while the vehicle changes direction. Hydraulic pressure from the pump travels through connected lines that distribute fluid throughout the steering system. The PAI 451428E functions within the hydraulic steering system by supplying continuous pressure that supports assisted steering control.
