Fitted into the eyelet of a torque rod or engine strut, it lets the connected part pivot smoothly instead of grinding metal on metal. That same rubber core also soaks up shock before it reaches the frame. Sitting right at the connection point, this bushing takes on the wear a rigid joint would otherwise absorb alone. Seated in that eyelet, the Automann TRB6185 keeps a suspension pivot quiet and cushioned.
