Jost Cushion Foot

The Jost Cushion Foot provides the ground contact point for trailer landing gear when the trailer is positioned without tractor support. Once the landing gear lowers, the downward load from the trailer is transferred through the landing leg to the base surface beneath the jack. This support point allows the trailer front section to remain elevated while loading or staging occurs at a dock or yard. During connection procedures, the landing gear lifts again, and the base rises away from the ground while the trailer aligns with the tractor coupling plate. The base structure distributes the downward load across the ground surface beneath the trailer while the landing legs remain extended. The Jost C10717 functions as the contact component beneath landing gear systems used on commercial trailers.
