Product Description

Autolite 86 Copper Resistor Spark Plug

Features & Benefits

  • Electrode promotes optimal electrical conductivity and improved performance in all driving conditions
  • Insulator prevents high-voltage current creep and misfires
  • Features a nickel alloy center and ground electrode for extended component life
  • Standard firing characteristics compatible with older coil and distributor systems
  • High alumina multi-rib insulator helps prevent flash-over which can lead to misfires

Autolite Spark Plug

The Autolite Spark Plug is constructed as a copper resistor plug ideal for vintage powertrains and utility engines that encounter irregular operation and significant thermal variation. These systems rely on a plug capable of sustaining heat flow and electrical insulation under shifting conditions. Its high-alumina, multi-rib ceramic insulator increases dielectric strength and helps manage heat during prolonged combustion cycles. A single-piece terminal stud maintains a clear, consistent path for high-voltage transfer. At the core, a heat-fused glass composite seal encases the resistor element, creating a 100 percent leak-proof enclosure that simultaneously suppresses EMI to protect sensitive electronic components.
