Meritor Drum Brake Shoe
Brake fade is a safety hazard you can’t afford, and the Meritor Drum Brake Shoe addresses the conditions that cause braking performance to drop over time. The reinforced steel shoe table holds its shape under load, preventing flex that can reduce lining contact and lead to uneven braking. To keep that structure intact, Meritor applies a corrosion-resistant coating to the table, limiting rust buildup that can force the lining away from the Meritor A3222D2110 shoe and cause rust jacking. Wear at the mounting points is controlled through induction-hardened anchor pin and camshaft holes, which resist elongation and keep the shoe aligned as components cycle under heat and load. By maintaining proper contact, alignment, and structure, the brake assembly continues to respond consistently through repeated stops.
