Meritor Air Brake Chamber
The Meritor Air Brake Chamber becomes the next inspection point when pushrod travel no longer looks right during heavy brake service. The chamber is a Type 30/30 spring brake chamber with 2.50-inch stroke and 2.50-inch push rod length. Air pressure moves the service side during braking, while the spring section holds parking force after pressure releases. Its undercarriage location exposes the housing to road spray, vibration, and heat from nearby brake work. On spring brake replacement jobs, the Meritor U593276D30 returns actuator force to the drum brake linkage.
