Meritor Air Brake Spider
The Meritor Air Brake Spider provides the mounting base for drum brake shoes, anchor hardware, and S-cam components at the axle. Its 8.25-inch bolt circle and 6.75-inch pilot diameter position the foundation brake hardware around the wheel end. A rigid spider helps the shoes stay properly supported as the camshaft applies braking force. The Meritor A3211A5617 gives brake and axle service a strong backing plate for rebuilding the drum brake foundation.
