That glass-side location helps separate this filter from other cab HVAC filters used on the same machine. At that location, the Broce-Replacement 403178 filters incoming cab air before it passes through the evaporator. For a 350 Series or MK-1 machine, the glass-side evaporator position is the quickest way to distinguish this filter from other cab HVAC elements.
