Chelsea 280 Series is a hydraulically shifted hot shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-Bolt aperture, commonly found on Allison and Caterpiller transmissions. The 280 Series replaces the 277/278 Series.
Chelsea's 280 Series is a new PTO that delivers high continuous-duty torque in a range of speeds where power and durability are required. It is capable of up to 390 ft-lbs in continuous duty applications. With nine ratios, rotatable output flanges, remote hydraulic valve options, wet-spline technology, and Chelsea Smart Start options, it is perfect for Vacuum, Refuse, and Fire and Rescue applications in the Mobile market.
