The High Pressure Oil Pump supplies the high pressure oil needed to activate the Hydraulically actuated Electronically controlled Unit Injectors (HEUI). This gear-driven, hydraulic supply pump delivers the specific oil volume for the injectors to use. A new high pressure oil pump is quite an expensive part, so many drivers don't want to pay a premium and choose a remanufactured product because of its lower cost compared to new aftermarket or new OEM component.
